SHELLY'S BEESWAX HAND CREAM

 

 

2- 1/2oz. Beeswax

4oz. lanolin (or 2T of glycerin)

2/3 cup Apricot Kernel Oil

Distilled water (3/4 cup)

1 teaspoon Borax

1-2 teaspoon essential oil or fragrance oil (if desired)

 

Melt Wax & Lanolin together, when it's hot (160 or slightly higher), add the kernel oil. This can be done on the stove, or in the microwave. In the microwave the wax & lanolin can be melted for 1 1/2 minutes for 30 second intervals.

Mix the borax into the water in a separate container and stir, then add the scent. Pour melted wax, lanolin & the kernel oil into a glass measuring cup, then add the water & borax and scent mixture to it and stir. Pour into prepared glass jars. Pour quickly as it sets up fast.
